I often hear people say they wish they had started a long time ago, because they feel it's too late for them now. They think there isn't room for their ideas with so many markets already saturated. Some people believe this myth, while others simply use being "too late" as an excuse not to fulfill their dreams and share their gifts with the world.

The Internet went through many stages of development as far back as the 1960's, and it was only in the 1990's when it began to take off to the point where people actually had computers in their homes. Each year, as this technology became more affordable for the average household, the number of homes with computers began to quickly rise.

 Look at the developments in computer technology over these past three decades, it was not easy in them days to learn how to start an online business and you'll realize that the growth isn't slowing. It just keeps growing with even more users coming on board. The Internet is really just in its infancy, and despite all the things that seem so technology advanced... we haven't seen anything yet!

 Consider Facebook - one of the most popular social networking sites today. Facebook began in February 2004, and it's still growing today. Facebook is still like a child at just 8 years old.

  WordPress was first released on May 27th, 2003, and it continues to gain in popularity. More people today are using the WordPress platform to manage full websites and/or blogs. While it was designed as a blogging platform, it has also become popular for creating complete websites. At only nine years old (as of 2012), WordPress is like a child with plenty of room to grow and prosper.

 Another example is Twitter which was launched in July 2006. Yes, Twitter could be compared to a six-year old child that has plenty of potential and growth in front of this popular social platform. In March 2010 Pinterest was launched and unexpectedly rose in popularity for both personal as well as business use. Pinterest is just a baby at 2 years old! Let's not forget

Google Plus! This social platform by Google was just launched a year ago in June 2011. It's still a baby, too. Can you imagine the growth potential of all these popular social media platforms? It's huge! With all of our favorite social media sites being little more than babies or young children, the potential is unlimited. We tell our kids that they can grow up and be anything they want to be in life. So if you get on board with an online business, you have some fantastic tools available to help you make your presence known and to brand your business online. WordPress didn't exist back then. It's true that times have changed, but they are changing for the better to provide us with more online tools and means to reach our goals in business. The pioneers who have gone before you have created a path, making it easier than ever before to take part in the Internet and create an online business. And even though it's true that many markets are already "saturated," if you bring your unique voice and perspective to the table, there's certainly room for you, too!
